Get an inside look at Spot Pal with this introductory video led by Toni-Ann. In this session, she walks you through the fundamentals of Spot Pal—what it is, how it works, how it’s made, and why it’s such an effective tool for supporting proper tongue posture, nasal breathing, and overall oral function.

Spot Pal Integration Certification Course

This program combines science-backed clinical insights, real-world case studies, practical tools, and templates to ensure that learners walk away with confidence and clarity in using Spot Pal to:

1. Accelerate patient outcomes.

2. Improve patient compliance and consistency.

3. Highlight underlying oral dysfunctions.

4. Streamline therapy planning and delivery.

SLP Spot Pal Integration Certification Course

In this course, you'll learn how to:

1. Use Spot Pal as a therapy tool to improve tongue posture, placement, and carryover in speech and feeding treatment plans.

2. Apply screening and candidacy criteria, device-use parameters, and progression strategies, including how to pair Spot Pal with targeted SLP cueing and exercises for neuromuscular re-education between sessions.

3. Implement Spot Pal confidently and ethically through clear documentation, effective home-program setup, troubleshooting, and real-world case examples within an interdisciplinary model of care.

Long Island Speech SLP Spot Pal Integration Course Requirements

As part of your Spot Pal training, you will complete all course modules and quizzes within the Spot Pal Integration Course. Upon successful completion, a Spot Pal team member will contact you via email with next steps, including access to a shared Google Drive folder containing a Case Study Presentation Template and additional instructions.

To complete your certification requirements, you will be asked to present one patient case study demonstrating the integration and use of Spot Pal in therapy. This modified requirement is exclusive to Long Island Speech clinicians. While external providers are required to complete two case study presentations, Long Island Speech SLPs are only required to complete one case study presentation.

LI Speech Educational Series

A new educational series designed to deepen our collective understanding of using tools in therapy through real case presentations, interactive discussion, and collaborative troubleshooting.

Each session will feature a therapist-led case presentation using myofunctional tools, followed by live feedback and discussion guided by Melissa Mugno, and Toni- Ann.
This will feel like a live workshop — supportive, practical, and energizing!

Spot Pal Study Club

The Spot Pal Study Club is a small-group, interactive learning series designed to support confident and effective clinical integration. Led by orofacial myofunctional specialists and experienced Spot Pal clinicians, these sessions will focus on real-world application, best practices in treatment, therapeutic exercises, troubleshooting common challenges, and case-based discussion. Study Club is an opportunity to deepen clinical understanding, ask questions, and refine your approach to using Spot Pal in therapy.

Spot Pal Parent Education Series

The Spot Pal Parent Education Series, can  help you feel confident speaking with parents about the benefits of Spot Pal, how it works, and how it supports your therapy goals. By strengthening your understanding, you’ll be better equipped to answer questions, guide families, and reinforce the value of incorporating Spot Pal into treatment.

Myo Mornings

Myo Mornings are virtual clinical support sessions created for LI Speech therapists providing myofunctional therapy. These informal, collaborative meetings offer an opportunity to discuss patient-specific questions, treatment planning, clinical challenges, and myofunctional concepts in greater depth. Therapists may ask questions live or submit them in advance for discussion during the session. Myo Mornings are designed to provide ongoing clinical support, encourage collaborative problem-solving, and build therapist confidence in the assessment and treatment of myofunctional disorders.
